Introduction

I”m currently a Cyber Security Analyst, but over the years I’ve been Help Desk, Tech Support, Sysadmin, Cloud admin, and all of it entailing one ore more technologies such as Windows servers and domain administration, VMWare, and Citrix. I’ve also had plenty to do with information security policy creation and maintenance, with experience handling various regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.

Why another site and service about information security? All along the way I’ve worked in Small-to-Medium businesses (SMB). A tremendous pain point for SMBs has been the lack of affordable resources for important activities such as network maintenance, systems security, and guidance on policy creation.

So much of what’s marketed is aimed at larger corporations who can handle $50K for this tech and $60K for that solution, when the total would spend most, if not all, of the budget, and still would not address the information security issues. When a company is small, and has a small IT/Security/IT/Development team, resources (people, hours, equipment, talent) are slim.
